Access rights
The normal protection mechanisms of SINAMICS apply for the web server, including password
protection. Further protective mechanisms have been implemented especially for the web
server. Different access options are set for different users, depending on the function in
question. The parameter lists are also mostly protected so that only users with the appropriate
rights can access or change the data.
User-defined web pages
You can add your own self-created web pages to the standard web pages of the web server.

Requirements and addressing

Requirements
The web server can be reached via the LAN interface (X127). For Control Units with PROFINET
interface, the web server is also available via this interface.
Addressing
The individual drives in the web server are reached via the IP address.
If you want to assign a symbolic name (e.g. "roller drive 1") to the drive, use your IT
infrastructure outside of the drive. A cancellation of the symbolic name in the drive is not
possible.
The IP address can be found in the CU parameter assignment. Example:
● Integrated Ethernet interface (X127): r8911
● PROFINET interface (X150): r8931
You can also use the commissioning tools (STARTER, SCOUT, etc.) in order to determine
and issue IP addresses.
As delivered, the integrated Ethernet interface has IP address 169.254.11.22.
Supported Internet browsers
In the current version, the SINAMICS web server supports large displays such as on usual PC
screens.
