If your nook informs you that your account information is not valid, double check the
information you entered. You might have mistyped something.
Creating a B&N Account
If you do not already have a B&N account, you can create one while registering your nook.
Alternatively, you could cancel registration from your nook, create an account on the BN.com
website, and then register your nook from the Settings menu. This section explains account
creation when registering your nook.
The information you will need during registration is:
Your email address (the email address you want to use for your B&N account)

First name

Last name

 A password to use for your B&N account
A security question and answer. For example, "What was my first dog's name?" and

"Bowser."
 Credit card type
Credit card number

Billing address

 Name on card
Expiration date

Security code


Library Catalog Download and Sync

Immediately after registration, your nook downloads a local copy of the catalog from your
online digital library. It uses this catalog copy when searching your library. Your nook keeps the
local catalog in sync with the online catalog.
