C – FP22 Parameter Options
An FP22 print notifies or reminds a GP that a patient has been removed from his/her
list. When required, it is also used to request the return of the patient's Medical
Record.
Use this screen to:
• Specify the order in which the patient details are printed.
• Specify the length of time that must pass before FP22 reminder notifications
are sent to GPs, and whether these are to be accompanied by a covering letter.
• Specify the contents of the covering letters. It is recommended that the
contents reflect the number of reminders sent.
Parameters must be set in line with policy at your HA.
Printing is on standard listing paper.
You may wish to suppress the actual reason for deduction in external
communications. If so, page 2 of this screen allows you to specify the reason(s) for
deduction which you want to be suppressed.
Patient details are passed to the FP22 print preparation application when:
• A patient is registered on the ID screen with the acceptance code 6 (Internal
Transfer).
• A patient is deducted from the live register.
R/A and R/C Deductions
Patients deducted with the codes R/A (New HA, same GP) and R/C (Registration
cancelled) will have their MR status automatically set to 'NOT' (Not Required),
providing their MR status is not already set to an awaited or retained code. The
message on the FP22 will be set to the following for these deductions:

O/R Deduction
An additional O/R sub-code may optionally be used for patients deducted with the
code O/R. This code expands on the reason for the O/R deduction.
If an additional code has been used, the description will be printed beneath the patient
details.
