Controls for other components

This remote control can control these components after entering the proper codes or teaching the receiver the
commands (see Using the remote control with other components on page 58 for more on this). Use the MULTI
CONTROL buttons to select the component.
Button(s) Function
SOURCE
Press to switch the component between standby and on.
Press to return to the start of the current track or chapter.
Repeated presses skips to the start of previous tracks or chapters.
Use to move back channels (channel –).
Play the reverse side of the tape on a reversible deck.
Skips to the start of the next track or chapter.
Repeated presses skips to the start of following tracks or chapters.
Use to go forward channels (channel +).
Pauses playback or recording.
Hold down for fast forward playback.
Hold down for fast reverse playback.
Start playback.
Stop playback (on some models, pressing this when the disc is already
stopped will cause the disc tray to open).
Starts recording.
SUBTITLE/ Displays/changes the subtitles on multilingual DVDs.
DISP
Change the display mode.
MODE
Use to directly access tracks on a program source.
Number
Use to directly access chapters on a program source.
buttons
Use to directly select a channel.
Use to select tracks or chapters higher than 10.
Press this button and the remaining number to get the track or chapter
+10 button
(+10 button + 3 = track or chapter 13).
• Some components may operate differently.
Press to start the search mode.
Takes you to the disc navigator.
ENTER/
Changes between sides A & B of the disc.
DISC
Press to enter the selected channel.
Selects a disc in a multi-disc CD player.
MENU Displays menus for the current DVD, DVR or VCR you are using.
