color, line or font tools.
Notebook objects can be configured in a wide array of colors, fonts and
widths either before or after they have been created. In addition, objects
can be selected and then resized, moved, grouped or ungrouped, and
cut, copied and pasted with ease. For more information on these
operations, see the section entitled "Editing Objects on the SMART
Board" on page 29.
Objects you create within a specified area or time can be automatically
grouped with other objects created within the same time or spatial frame.
This feature is called SMART Grouping.

Writing with Notebook Tools

You can use the tools available from the Notebook toolbars to create
Notebook annotations. You can change both the color and line width of
these annotations either at the time of their creation or later.
To create a freehand object with the Pen Tool:
1. Click the Pen button in the Full Toolbars.
or
Select Pen from the Draw menu.
When moved over the Notebook canvas, the cursor becomes a
pen icon.
2. Select an appropriate color by clicking the Color button, and then
clicking on a color from the resulting palette. You can also select
a line width for your freehand annotation by clicking first on the
Line Width button, and then on one of the 6 displayed widths.
3. Click and drag with the pen cursor, or, if you are working on a
SMART Board, touch the Board and drag with your finger or any
pointing device to create a freehand annotation object.
Each continuous stroke created with the pen cursor is treated as
a separate object that can be individually selected and modified,
moved, deleted, resized, etc.
