can produce a left or right mouse click, draw a circle, rectangle, or
straight line, write in 16 differently colored pens or highlighters, or
selectively erase annotations. In projected mode, the default event
produced by Board contact is always a left mouse click.
Orienting a Projected SMART Board
If you are using a projector with your SMART Board, the projected
computer image must be oriented properly on the Board. Without proper
orientation, the cursor will not track your finger or a pointing device
accurately.
Orientation is the first task performed after installing the SMART Board
Software. However, if the SMART Board is accidentally jostled or moved,
you may need to perform the orientation procedure again. The detailed
procedure for orientation is described in the SMART Board Installation
Guide and in the online Help for the SMART Board driver.
You can quickly access the orientation and configuration dialogs by
pressing the two Pen Tray buttons simultaneously (holding them down
for a few seconds). If you are currently unconnected to the SMART
Board, the Check Board Connections dialog box will appear. If you are
connected to the SMART Board, the Pick the Orientation Level dialog
box will appear.
Alternatively, you can click twice on the System Tray icon, located on the
right side of the Task Bar (see the following figure) and the orientation
and configuration dialogs will appear.
