A. The SMART Board driver may be having trouble working with
the computer's video card. Increasing or decreasing the color
resolution of your computer should solve the problem. For more
information on adjusting this resolution, refer to "Matching
computer resolution to projector resolution" in the SMART Board

Q. I'm running SMART Notebook on a SMART Board with projection. I
can write electronically on the Board with a pen, but the menu bar
and icons don't respond to my touch. What's wrong?
A. In order to sense your touch on the Notebook image, the SMART
Board driver must be in projected mode. Make sure it is in projected
mode by doing the following:
1. Check to see if SMART Board has a projector in the Board
menu is toggled on.
2. If there is no check mark beside SMART Board has a
projector, select this command and the Board driver will be put
in projected mode.
Contact with the Notebook workspace can now be sensed by the
Board.
Q. When I start the SMART Board driver, a box pops up saying "No
SMART Board was found on your system." I follow the directions on
screen, but I keep getting the same message. What should I do?
A. First, check that the cables connecting the Pen Tray to the
Board, the computer's COM port, and the wall socket are
securely connected.
Next, disconnect the Pen Tray from the power source and then
reconnect it. The Ready light should flash twice and then turn off
again.
Finally, restart the software; the Ready light should now come on
and remain on.
