Printer Does Not Run

Problem Items to check
Is the power switched
on?
Is [SETUP] illuminated?
Are any covers open?
Is the top menu dis-
played?
The printer unit does

Is [PAUSE] illuminated?
Has ink run out?
Is a message displayed
on the screen?
Is the cable connected?
Action
Switch on the printer's main power, then press
the sub power switch and make sure the sub
power switch lights up.
If [SETUP] is not illuminated, the printer cannot
print. Complete up to setting the printer area,
close the front cover, and press [SETUP].
Close the front cover and the panel cover.
If the top menu is not displayed, output will not
start even when data is sent from the computer.
To go to the top screen, press [MENU], then press
[ ].
If [PAUSE] is illuminated printing is paused. To
resume, press [PAUSE]. [PAUSE] goes out, and
output resumes.
When data is sent while the screen shown in
the figure is displayed, a message appears and a
warning beep sounds. At the same time, opera-
tion pauses. When the ink cartridge is replaced
with a new one, output resumes.
