3 . A jig might be required according to the size and shape of the print object
(media) .
According to the size and shape of the print object (media), the distance between the print object (media)
and print heads may increase with the likelihood of ink mist increased. In the direction to which the print
heads move, there must be a print object (media) and/or a jig in the areas of 40 mm (1.6 inches) on both right
and left sides of the portion (width) of the data to be printed. In that case, the difference in height between
the surfaces of the print object (media) and jig must be less than 2 mm (78.7 mils).

When a jig is required:
• The print object (media) is not large enough to spread over the areas of 40 mm on both right and left sides
of the portion (width) of the data to be printed.
• The variation in height of the print object (media) surface is 2 mm or more.
