Overview of backing up/restoring a CompactFlash Card

It is recommended that you create an image of your CompactFlash card so that your control
settings can be restored, and to back up your data.
You have the following options for control data:
● Generating an image from the CompactFlash Card/USB-FlashDrive (Page 133)
● Writing an image to the CompactFlash Card/USB-FlashDrive (Page 135)
● Writing a SINUMERIK 828D boot system (Page 136)
