Data structure on the CompactFlash Card system
7.5.1
Data structure on the CompactFlash card (SINUMERIK 840D sl / 828D)
With SINUMERIK Operate, all files are stored on the system CompactFlash card. At the
topmost level, the file system consists of the following four relevant directories:
● "Siemens"
● "Add_on"
● "OEM"
● "User"
These directories have essentially an identical structure.
The files in the "Siemens" directory represent the original status and cannot be modified!
To modify files, copy an original file from the "/Siemens/sinumerik/hmi/template" directory and
paste it into the appropriate place in the "OEM" or "User" directory.
There are also sample files in the "Siemens" directory that you can copy and use as user-
specific files.
