3. If the speed or water temperature readout is wrong, calibrate the speed or water
temperature data input from the transducer or sensor. Enter a minus(-) or plus(+) value if
the actual value is lower or higher than the displayed value, respectively. Also, if you
desire depth from the sea surface rather than the transducer set ship's draft. If those are
not required, go to step 4.
Speed readout is wrong: Rotate the knob to choose SPEED CALIBRATION and roll
the trackball rightward or leftward to set appropriate value.
Water temperature readout is wrong: Rotate the knob to choose TEMP
CALIBRATION and then roll the trackball rightward or leftward to set appropriate value.
To display the depth from the sea surface (instead of transducer): Rotate the knob
to choose DEPTH CALIBRATION and then roll the trackball rightward or leftward to set
ship's draft.
Depth readout is wrong: Water temperature or salinity content can result in wrong
depth readout. Normally, use the default setting (0). If the depth readout is often wrong,
rotate the knob to choose ASCTC SPD CALIB and then roll the trackball rightward or
leftward to set appropriate value. Set the value which gives correct depth.
4. Press the [MENU] key three times to close the menu.
