Attaching the transducer
1. Clean the transducer face to remove any foreign material. Lightly roughen the
transducer face with #100 sandpaper. Also, roughen the inside of the hull where the
transducer is to be mounted.
2. Warm the marine sealant to 40°C before usage to soften it. Coat the transducer face
and mounting location with marine sealant.
3. Press the transducer firmly down on the hull and gently twist it back and forth to remove
any air which may be trapped in the marine sealant.
Checking the installation
1. Connect the battery to the display unit.
2. Press the [POWER] switch to turn on the display unit.
3. Press the [DISP] key.
4. Rotate the knob to choose "2.E/S 50kHz SINGLE" and then push the [ENTER] knob.
5. Press the [MENU] key and the rotate the knob to choose "9. ECHO SOUNDER SETUP."
6. Push the [ENTER] knob, choose "1. AUTO MODE" (if it is no already chosen) and then
push the knob again.
7. Rotate the knob to choose "3. OFF" and then push the knob.
8. Press the [MENU] key twice to close the menu.
