Power Connections
A 24-pin main power supply connector(JPW1),
two 8-pin CPU PWR connectors (JPW2/
JPW3) and a 4-pin PWR connector (JPW4)
are provided on the serverboard. These
power connectors meet the SSI EPS 12V
specification. See the tables on the right for
pin definitions.
Warning: To provide adequate power to the
serverboard, be sure to connect the 24-pin PWR
(JPW1), and an 8-pin connector for each CPU
(JPW2, JPW3) to the power supply. Failure to do
so will void the manufacturer warranty on your
power supply and serverboard.
The 4-pin PWR connector (JPW4) is optional,
however Supermicro recommends that this con-
nector also be connected to the power supply
for optimal power delivery.
