Usage guidelines
The device records its current startup software version information and all subsequent version update
information. Such information can survive reboots.
A maximum of 10 records can be saved.

exception filepath

Use exception filepath to specify the directory for saving core files on an MPU.
Use undo exception filepath to remove the directory setting (set the directory to NULL) on an MPU.
Syntax
exception filepath directory
undo exception filepath directory
Default
The directory for saving core files is flash: on an MPU.

directory: Specifies the root directory of a storage medium on an MPU.
Usage guidelines
The system will save core files to the core folder in the core file directory on the active MPU (in standalone
mode) or the global active MPU (in IRF mode).
• If the core folder does not exist, the system creates the folder.
If the specified directory is not accessible or is NULL, the system cannot save core files or the

diagnostic information collected by using the display diagnostic-information command.
