NOTE:
The rails are identical, and can mount on either side of the switch. In the following
step, rotate them until they match as described.

Align the rail to the switch:
• Orient the rail so that one of the center holes in the slide matches the single hole in the center
of the switch
• Match the pair of holes toward each end of the rails with the pairs of holes in the switch.

Secure, but do not tighen the rail with a #6 screw through the center hole.

Insert two screws into the two front holes and secure but do not tighten the rail.
5.
Mount the two ear brackets at the rear of the switch.
6.
Tighten all screws securing the rail to the switch.
7.
Torque the screws to 8 in-lbs. Repeat steps 4 through 9 to attach the second rail to the switch.
8.
Position the switch at the rear of the rack. Carefully slide the switch into the adjustable mounting
brackets.
9.
Use two 10-32 screws and a #2 Phillips screwdriver to secure the ear brackets to the rails in the
rack.
10.Tighten all the screws securing the adjustable brackets to the vertical rails in the rack. Torque the
screws to 22 in-lbs.
11.Optional Step. Locate the cable routing hook-and-loop straps, supplied in the edge switch rack
mount kit.
Use the straps to hold cables in place:
a. Insert the plastic fastener through the hole in the strap.
b. Place the hook-and-loop strap into the hole near the front of the adjustable brackets.
