The new A-Class will be equipped with the
MacPherson front suspension and 4-link rear axle
as known in the B-Class, model series 246.
The suspension in the new A-Class has been
adopted from the B-Class, model series 246. It is
made up of MacPherson double-tube suspension
struts on the front axle and single-tube shock
absorbers with separately arranged springs on the
rear axle.

Axles and suspension

The sports suspension, which is available in combi-
nation with the dynamic handling package and the
AMG Sport Line, is equipped with harder front and
rear springs. The vehicle level has been lowered at
the front axle by 15 mm and at the rear axle by
10 mm compared to the standard suspension.
