A login window opens.
3. Enter the modem user name and password.
The user name is admin. The default password is password. The user name and password are
case-sensitive.
The BASIC Home page displays.
4. Select ADVANCED > ADVANCED Home.
The information onscreen uses the following color coding:
•
A green flag indicates that Internet connection is fine and no problems exist.
•
A red X indicates that configuration problems exist for Internet connection or the connection is
down.
•
An amber exclamation mark
connection (for example, because the cable is disconnected) or that another situation that requires
your attention occurred.
The following table describes the fields of the two panes on the ADVANCED Home page.

indicates that the Internet port is configured but cannot get an Internet
Description
The modem model.
The version of the modem firmware. If you upgrade the firmware on the modem, the
version changes.
The version of the modem language for its web pages. If you upgrade the firmware on
modem, the language version might change too.
