Annex A - BACnet, LON and Modbus
The IAQPoint can be factory configured with optional communication
types: BACnet or LonWorks. Each of these communication protocols has
its own specific objects. These objects are listed in this document
BACnet Configuration
If you are configuring the unit for use with BACnet, you must first consult
your network administrator to obtain a unique MAC address (between 0
and 127 for MS/TP Master devices) and a unique BACnet ID. Once you
have obtained the unique identifiers, you can now configure the unit with
the MAC address and ID.
The IAQPoint is an MSTP Master Device and supports
Dynamic Device Binding (WHOIS/IAM), which is part of
BACnet protocols DM-DDB-B and DM-DOB -B (see the
Protocol Implementation Conformance Statement
section for details).
