Shipping and storage conditions

Introduction
With respect to shipping and storage conditions, the CPU 1515SP PC exceeds the
requirements according to IEC 61131-2. The following statements apply to modules that are
transported and/or stored in the original packaging.

Mechanical and climatic ambient conditions

Restrictions
In contrast to the ambient conditions for the ET 200SP distributed I/O system, the following
restrictions apply to the CPU 1515SP PC:
• Mechanical ambient conditions:
– 2 g constant acceleration when BusAdapter BA 2×FC is used
• Ambient temperature:
– 0 to 60 °C for horizontal installation with maximum 32 I/O modules
– 0 to 55 °C for horizontal installation with maximum 64 I/O modules
– 0 to 50 °C for vertical installation with maximum 32 I/O modules
Operating conditions
The CPU 1515SP PC is suitable for use in weather-proof, fixed locations. The operating
conditions exceed the requirements according to DIN IEC 60721-3-3:
● Class 3M3 (mechanical requirements)
● Class 3K3 (climatic requirements)
