Memory reset (Initialization)
When the following situations occur, reset the memory:
•
There is no response when buttons are pressed.
•
You want to clear and reset the memory contents.

Disconnect the AC mains lead. (Wait at least 3 minutes before proceeding to step 2.)

While pressing and holding down [8] on this unit, reconnect the AC mains lead.
" ---------" appears on the display.

Release [8]
All the settings are returned to the factory preset.
You will need to reset the memory items.
Maintenance
To clean this unit, wipe with a soft, dry cloth.
•
Never use alcohol, paint thinner or benzine to clean
this unit.
•
Before using chemically treated cloth, read the
instructions that came with the cloth carefully.
•
Disc is dirty. Wipe it clean.
•
Incorrect operation performed. Read the instructions and try again.
•
Trouble may have occurred. The number following "H" and "F" depend on the
status of the unit".
Turn the unit off and then back on. Alternatively, turn the unit off, disconnect
the AC mains lead, and then reconnect it.
•
If the service numbers fail to clear, note the service number and contact a
qualified service person.
•
The HDMI connection acts unusually.

The connected equipment is not HDMI-compatiple.
–
The HDMI cable is too long.
–
The HDMI cable is damaged.
•
Match the modes on this unit and remote control. Depending on the number
being displayed ("1" or "2"), press and hold [ENTER] and the corresponding
numbered button ([1] or [2]) for at least 2 seconds.
•
The operation is prohibited by the unit or disc.
•
You are trying to display incompatible contents.
•
Only DVD-Video discs that include or have the same region number as the
one on the rear panel of this unit can be played.
•
Go to "Display" menu in the Setup menus, and select "On" for "On-Screen
Messages".
•
The disc may be dirty.
•
You are trying to play the DivX VOD content that was purchased with a
different registration code. You cannot play the content on this unit.
•
The DivX VOD content has zero remaining plays. You cannot play it.
•
When using the HDMI connection, audio/video information is continually
transferred between this unit and the television regardless of which source
has been selected on this unit. This is normal.
For a cleaner, crisper sound (cassette deck)
Clean the heads regularly to assure good quality
playback and recording. Use a cleaning tape (not
included).
