Cassette tapes — Play and Recording

Preparation:
1. Wind up the leader tape so recording can begin
immediately.
2. Press [PLAY MODE] to select the reverse mode.
One side only records.

Both sides record (forward → reverse)

While recording, if a track is cut off in the

middle at the end of the front side, it is re-
recorded from the beginning on the reverse
side.
At the end of the reverse side, recording
stops and the current track will be
interrupted.
• "$" automatically changes to " /" when you
start recording.
Recording from radio, disc or USB

Select the source to be recorded.
Tune to the required station. (➡ The radio,

Insert the disc you want to record.

• If the tape finishes before the disc
The disc continues playing. Press [g] to stop it.
Note
• SC-NC9 Multi-channel sources are automatically
down-mixed to 2 channels during recording playback.
• The volume, sound field and quality have no effect on
recording.
Erasure prevention
Use a screwdriver or similar object to break out the tab.

To record on the tape again, cover the hole with adhesive
tape.
