Yournewcooktop burnershavebeen presetfor an"average"setof conditions.Regional
variancesin gas pressureand atmosphericconditions such as heightabove sea level
may affect your initialflame performance.
Whenthe controlknobisturnedON, gas entersthe mixertube and mixeswithair. This
air andgas mixtureflowstothe burner headand islightedby a sparkf_omthe solidstate
igniter.
A properlyadjustedburnerwith clean portswill lightwithina few seconds. The cone-
shapedflamewill be clearblue in colorwith a clearlydefinedinner cone, There should
be no trace of yellow in the flame. A yellowflame indicatesan impropermixture of air
and gas. if yourflame doesnot resemblethe "correct"flame as describedabove,follow
the air shutteradjustmentinstructions below.
The infinitesurface controls provide flexibilityin setting selection.
Note: The grillcan be replacedwith an optionalsurface burnermodule,ModelAG202.
Surface Burners
In case of prolonged powerfailure,youcan manuallylightthe surfaceburnerby holding
alightedmatchnearthebumerportsandslowlyturning thecontrolknobcounterclockwise
(after depressing) until the gas ignites. The fan will not operate so smoke and
condensation can gather.
Grill
IN CASE OF POWER FAILURE OR IF THE DOWNDRAFT FAN IS INOPERABLE,DO
NOT USE GRILL. VENTILATION SYSTEM WILL NOT OPERATE.
