puncture. the

Chamber
will
have
sufficien

mitting you
to proceed to
a
tire
service center or pu
ll
off
the road
to
change
the
tire.
Th
e ve hicle
should
not be
driven at
speeds
in
excess
of 40 M
PH
afte
r
a
puncture.
Loss
of
air
wi
ll
be signalled by
a
noticeable
vibrat
ion of
the tire.
The
distance a tire
may be
drive
n
after
air
loss is
limited.
You
may
add
to the tire damage if the deflated tire
is driven
over
extended
distances.
It
is
im
portant
t
hat
you read
and
follow
the tire inflation
instruc
-
tions
w hich are
found with the
"inflation-check adaptor" in a
packet
in
yo
ur
glove
co mpartment.

refer to the tire
chart on
the rear
(lock)
face
of the
left
front door.
AIR CONDITIONING
At the
start
of
the air
conditioning season,
have the
system checked
for
sufficient refrigerant charge. If there has been a
lo
ss of
ref
rigeran
t,
the
compressor
oil
level
must
also
be
checked.

ELECTRICAL SYSTEM
BATTERY CARE
-An
AUTO-
UTE
battery
is located
in the
right front
corner
of the
engine
com
partment.
The fluid
level
in
each
battery
cell
shou
ld
be
checked
frequ
ent
ly. As
indicat ed
on
the
tiller
caps,
"
fill
to
ring:·
Use distilled water to
rep lace
lost
fluid
.
Th
e
leve
l
shou
ld
be
chec ked
more often
in
hot
wea
th
er.
Have
the
battery's state
of
charge checked
frequently,
particularly
during
cold weather. Charge
the battery
if the
spec
ific
gravity
falls
be low
1.230.
A
lso, make
sure
the battery cables are
tightly
c lamped
to
th
e battery terminals. Keep the
top
of
the
battery clean and
dry.
Corrosion can
be
removed from the cables and
term inals
with a solu-
tion
of
baking
soda and
water. Periodically
app ly a sma
ll
quantity
of
grease to
each battery
terminal
to prevent corrosion.
