CHROME CARE
Many parts of your Linc oln Continental, suc h as t he bum pers and body
hardware. are chrom e plated. Chrome plating is susceptible to corrosion
due to salt air near coastli nes. fa ctory smo ke and ot her cond ition s found
in today's cities. When suc h co ndi tio ns ex ist, frequ ent w ash ing and the
use of Ford Brig ht M etal Cleaner are recomme nded.
CAUTION : 00 not use stee l wool or abra si ve type cleaners
on chrome .
VINYL ROOF CARE
Prope r ca re of the vinyl top materia l w ill maintain its appea rance and
du ra bi lity.
TO CLEAN THE TOP, PROCEED AS FOLLOWS:
• Rinse th e vinyl top mate rial w it h wa ter to remove all loose dirt and
grime.
• Usin g a soft bristle b rush, apply Ford Trip le Clean to th e top.
Clean a two square fo ot area at a time. overla pping eac h sec tion
to avoid st rea ki ng.
• After a section has been clea ned. rin se thoroughly w ith clea r water.
Exerci se care to preve nt the cl eaner from drying on the body fin ish
and causing streaks.
CAUTION: To avoid damage to the viny l top. use only
an approved c leaner .
WHITE SIDEWALL TIRE CLEANING
If t he tires become ve ry dirty or scu ffed. clea n them with Ford Tri ple
Clean following the directions on the con tai ner. Avoid stro ng caustics
that may sta in the bright meta l w heel cove rs. When you're through.
rinse the ti res and whee ls with p lenty of clean water.
CARE OF UPHOLSTERY AND
INTERIOR TRIM
Only the finest materials are used in the upholstery and trim of yo ur
Lincoln Conti nental. Cleaning these materia ls when the need arises
w ill ma in ta in their bea uty and durabil ity. Vacuuming the ca rpets will
