TO COOL THE CAR
• For rap id cooli ng, press th e " M AX" (reci rculating air) pushbutton.
• Turn the " FA N" speed co ntro l knob to obta i n t he highest fan speed.
• Adjust the position of t he fou r air reg isters as required.
NOTE: Each of the two instrument cluster registers are
provided with a shut·off knob which can limit or com-
pletely shut off the cold air flow from these registers.
Make sure these registers are open when first starting
the system.
• Co ntinue t o operate the air conditione r using the fa n high speed,
until t he desired temperature is reached. Then. adjust the "TEMPERA·
TU RE"d ial poi nter between "COOLER" an d "WARMER" as necessary
to maintain the desired t emperature. Adjust the "FA N" control for the
desired air output.
It
may be desirab le to depress the " FRESH"
butto n in order to change from t he use of all recirc ul ati ng i nside air
to t hat of all outside air. Th e ad dition of outside ai r is he lpful in
remov ing smoke or inside odors. W hen driving in heavy city traff ic,
depress th e "MAX" bu tton to cut off outsi de air odors.
