Info
The hydraulic steering damper stabilizes the steering if the front wheel is raised off the ground or carries no load.
In contrast to other damping elements, the steering damper is adjusted with the damping element open.

The steering damper suppresses shocks to the steering arising from acceleration on uneven
ground at high speed or when the load is temporarily taken from the front wheel.
The steering damper is adjusted to suit the manner of riding style and the road conditions.
For high speeds, an adjustment with high damping can be chosen in order to use the steer-
ing damping function optimally. In slow, tight bends, intensive damping can negatively
affect handling and steering precision, so the damping should be set to low.
