UNIX Quick Setup

Interface

Enter the Printer's IP address in the Interface Menu/Ethernet/TCPIP/
IP Address printer menu.

If necessary, enter the default router address in the Interface Menu/
Ethernet/TCPIP/Default Router printer menu.

If necessary, enter the default subnet mask in the Interface Menu/
Ethernet/TCPIP/Subnet Mask printer menu.
Network/Workstation

Add the printer to the workstation/network HOSTS file.

Install the UNIX Host Software (from the Software Utilities CD-ROM) from
either the TAR or CPIO format in the /platform/UNIX/host_sw directory.

UNIX Detailed Setup

TCP/IP Interface Configuration
If you do not use DHCP to configure TCP/IP (or if you do not want to
use it for this particular printer), disable DHCP on the Interface Menu/
Ethernet/TCP/IP/DHCP configuration menu.
You can configure your KONICA MINOLTA print system by several different
methods. This section briefly describes the configuration procedure for the
printer interface. Refer to your printer documentation for detailed instructions.
You can make these configuration changes through any of the following
means:
Printer Control Panel
PageScope Net Care
PageScope Light

If necessary, in the Interface Menu/Ethernet/TCPIP/IP Address printer
menu, enter the printer's Internet address.
The default Internet address is 192.128.2.1.

If necessary, in the Interface Menu/Ethernet/TCPIP/Default Router printer
menu, enter the Internet address of the default router.
The default router address is 000.000.000.000.
