3. Disconnect SRS unit connector A (18P) f r o m the
SRS unit.
4. Connect a voltmeter between the No. 4 terminal of
SRS unit connector A (18P) and body g r o u n d .

5. Turn the ignition switch ON (II).
Is there battery voltage?
Y E S - G o t o step 6.
NO—Open in the SRS main harness (VB line);
replace the SRS main harness. •
6. Turn the ignition switch OFF. Disconnect SRS unit
connector C <8P) f r o m the SRS unit.
7. Connect a j u m p e r wire between the No. 4 terminal
of SRS unit connector A (18P) and the No. 5
terminal of SRS unit connector C (8P). Turn the
ignition switch ON (II).

Does the SRS Indicator light go off?
Y E S - F a u l t y SRS unit, poor contact at the SRS
m a i n harness 18P connector, or poor contact at the
dashboard w i r e harness A 8P connector; check the
connectors. If the connectors are OK, replace the
SRS unit (see page 23-296).•
