2.7 Intelligent Battery Backup Unit (optional)

A single iBBU provides backup functionality for a single module. To provide backup func-
tionality for all four modules, each module must have an iBBU installed.

Removing an iBBU

1. Remove the sled trays from the chassis. See Releasing the Sled Tray on page 2-2.
2. Place the tray on a clean work surface.
3. Locate the iBBU and disconnect the iBBU cable from the battery.
4. Remove screw securing the iBBU assembly to the chassis.
5. Remove the iBBU assembly.
