9.3.3
Connecting to the system
Use the DCN cable to connect the extension power
supply to the system (see figure 9.5). The DCN trunk
socket is used to loop the extension power supply
through. It has a red LED that indicates power overload
situations. An overload situation occurs when the
equipment connected to the socket asks for more power
than can be provided or when a short-circuit is detected
(see also section 26.5.4).

Connecting tap-offs
Use the DCN tap-off sockets to create tap-offs in the
system (see figure 9.6). Each socket has a red LED that
indicates power overload situations. An overload
situation occurs when the equipment asks for more
power than can be provided (see also section 26.5.4).
