Introduction

The LBB4112/00 Data Distribution Board provides the
help and speak slowly indication initiated by
LBB4120/00 Interpreter Desks.
7.2 Controls, connectors and
indicators
The data distribution board contains the following:
1 DCN cable - A 2 m long cable to connect the data
distribution board to the system. The cable is
terminated with a moulded, male, 6-pole, circular
connector (see section 7.3.2).
2 J10 jumper - Two jumpers to select between
system power supply or an external power supply.
(see section 7.3.3).
3 S8 Dip switches - A series of dip switches to
configure the board (see section 7.4).
4 RS232 - Reserved, for future use.

5 Input - A 20-pole parallel input connector to
connect external devices (see section 7.3.4).
6 Input - Twenty solder pads for customized parallel
input solutions (see section 7.3.4).
7 Output - Twenty solder pads for customized parallel
output solutions (see section 7.3.4).
8 Initialization button - A button to initialize the
address of the board (press briefly, see also chapter
30). Next to the button is a LED that indicates the
non-initialized mode.
9 Output - A 20-pole parallel output connector to
connect external devices (see section 7.3.4).
10 Remote initialization - A 10-pole connector for
remote initialisation of the data distribution board.
(see section 7.3.5).
11 External power supply - Provision to connect an
external power supply to feed the data distribution
board from an external power source instead of the
system power supply (see section 7.3.3).
