22.4 Creating optical network
cables
Carry out the following steps to mount a system bus
connector onto an optical network cable:
1 Slide the back housing over the cable.
2 Strip the outer jacket using the stripping tool
(tool 5). The cable end must be positioned against
the stop. See the next figure.

3 Crimp the crimping bush using the crimping tool
(tool 3). See the next figure.

4 Cut the copper wires at the proper length using the
cable cutter (tool 2). To this end, fix the wires in the
cutting position with the help of the stripping tool
(tool 5). See the next figure.

5 Strip the copper wires using the stripping tool
(tool 5). See the next figure.
