4.4.7 View language quality of a
channel
The language quality indication on the second line of
the display gives the interpreter an at-a-glance quality
indication of the preselected channels. For example:

Indication Description
Floor The language is the original floor
language.
+ The language is a direct translation
of the original floor language.
- The language is not a direct
translation of the original floor
language.
Note
When a channel with quality '-' is selected, a
quality indication beep is audible on the
headphones (only when beeps are enabled).
4.4.8 Selecting an output
The desk has two output selection keys (A, B). Output A
is normally reserved for the interpreter's most familiar
outgoing language. The interpreter can select a second
language for distribution on output B (if enabled). To
select an output, press the A or B output selection keys.
The label of the selected output is highlighted using a
box. For example:

When the microphone is on, the label of the selected
output is displayed in reverse text. For example:

The output A and output B Engaged LEDs (see
figure 4.13) indicate when the relevant channels are
engaged (see table 4.6).

Status Description
Continuously lit The channel has been engaged on
another desk.
Blinking Translating to a channel that
already has been engaged.
To change the channel belonging to the B output,
press-and-hold the B key, while selecting the desired
channel using the select knob. Press the select knob in
order to select the first available interpretation channel.
In the desk's installation mode, output B can be
assigned with an auto-relay facility. See section 4.4.2 for
background information about auto-relay interpretation.
