The only difference between the basic system and this
redundant cabled system is the connecting between the
last audio expander (LBB4402/00) and the CCU
(LBB4401/00). The equipment now forms a ring. If a
cable breaks, the optical network remains operational.
When creating a redundant optical network, the total
power consumption of the equipment in the optical
network must be less than 65 W. This is to ensure that
when there is a fault in the network close to the optical
network sockets of the CCU, the other socket can still
feed the entire optical network.

27.6.4 Tap-offs
The network splitter (LBB4410/00) makes it possible to
create tap-offs (see figure 27.8). Please note that tap-offs
can never be redundant. If the cable between the
network splitter and audio expander C breaks, audio
expander C is not connected to the CCU anymore.
