Remote initialisation
Instead of initializing the board using the on-board
button, it is also possible initialize the board remotely
using connector X77 (see figure 7.1). This 10-pole
connector provides connections for an initial is at ion
button and an initialisation LED.

Overview
The S8 series of dip switches on the data distribution
board take care of the configuration of the data
distribution board in the system.

Mode selection
The data distribution board can be used as a passive
unit for reception of data (passive mode) or as an active
unit for transmission of data to the CCU (active mode)
using switch S8-2. See section 7.5 for examples of
applications of the data distribution board in the system
and the required mode. When the board is in passive
mode, an address must be assigned to it (see
section 7.4.3).
