4.2.1 About SETUP and RUN Modes

RUN Mode:
This is a mode of performing inspection. The PV310 starts in this mode when you turn it on
the PV310 accepts various kinds of signals including inspection start signals (START signal) from external device.
In addition, in this mode, the inspection results can be output to the external device according to the
communication and output conditions. You cannot set or change the settings for product type, configuration data,
etc., which are configured with the keypad. In RUN mode, the menu bar is not displayed.
SETUP Mode:
This is a mode in which you can configure or change the settings for all the options in the menu bar (TYPE,
CHECKER, TOOL, ENVIRONMENT, CARD, and INFO.) All the external signals including the inspection start
signal (START signal) but excluding key emulation signal from external device are denied. Press the A key on the
keypad to perform a test, but the results will not be output to the external device. In SETUP mode, the menu bar
appears. For example, the figure shown on the previous page is a screen in SETUP mode, (because the menu
bar is displayed.)
