A.1 Resetting Your SC-T47
Reset Mode enables you to restore settings under ViewSonic Client Setup to the factory defaults. Additionally,
it also releases a managed SC-T47 from the management of ViewSonic Device Manager, a management console
developed by ViewSonic for remote and mass client management.
You can perform Reset Mode locally through ViewSonic Thin Client Menu.
NOTE
• You can also release a managed SC-T47 remotely from ViewSonic Device Manager.
For details, please refer to the User's Manual for ViewSonic Device Manager.
To reset your SC-T47, please do the following:
1. Restart your SC-T47.
2. During the POST (Power-On Self-Test) period, press Esc on the keyboard to enter ViewSonic Thin Client Menu.
NOTE
• Five options are available on ViewSonic Thin Client Menu: Normal boot, Reset
Mode, Firmware Update, Reboot, and Shutdown. See the table below for the
description of each option:
3. Use arrow keys to select Reset Mode, and then press Enter to continue.
4. A message appears prompting you for confirmation. Type y to confirm.
5. Upon completion, press Enter to restart.

Restarts your SC-T47.
Shutdown
Powers off your SC-T47.
