Comments: The HAKKO FX‐801 Ultra Heavy Duty (UHD) Soldering Station is specially designed for the difficult soldering of extremely large mass components such has high current inductor coils, heat sinks, large transformers, shields, and other connections where there is a significant amount of thermal inertia that must be overcome. The station uses T33 Series Tips that feature 260W composite ceramic heating elements that have a top controlled temperature of 500°C (940°F) and high mass shapes. This combination allows for soldering some of the most challenging solder joints at only 400°C (750°F)… even without preheating! The station also features up to 6 user programmable preset temperatures and process control lockout with password protection. This helps ensure that only the appropriate soldering iron temperatures are being used and avoids inadvertent changes to the system. Like other HAKKO soldering stations, the quality and construction of HAKKO brand tips lend the renowned reputation for long tip life to this new series of massive soldering iron tips. The soldering iron holder also includes the standard sleep and auto power off features as well as low temperature alarms. The station also features a large and extremely simple to read display.
