Troubleshooting

1. Instrument makes a whistling sound.
• Whistling (feedback) occurs when
amplified sound returns to the
microphone and is re-amplified.
Most hearing aids (even ones
costing thousands of dollars)
will whistle when not inserted
properly in the ear canal.
• Try reinserting the Ear Dome
into ear canal so it fits better.
If that doesn't work, try a different
Ear Dome.
• Lower the volume.

• If you still require more volume
to hear, try using a Closed
Ear Dome.
• If whistling occurs after trying
a Closed Ear Dome, you might
require more gain (volume)
and should try the Traditional
Tubing System. (See Enclosed
Traditional Tubing System and
Manual.)
• Check for cracks in Tubing,
Tubing Base (triangular end),
or Earhook (if using Traditional
Tubing) and replace if damaged.
