! CAUTION !
THE PANELS ARE VERY FRAGILE. WHILE MANEUVERING
THE PANELS INTO POSITION, BE CAREFUL TO AVOID
STRIKING CORNERS AND EDGES ON THE FIREBOX PARTS.
Carefully unpack the panels and set out on carpet or other
protective surface. The panels will be installed with the
textured surface against the firebox walls.
1. An Air Shutter cable is located on the floor of each
side compartment. Engage the end of the Latch Tool
with the cable eye and push each fully in. This action
retracts the shutters and allows the Burner assembly to
be disengaged from the firebox. See figs. 16 and 58.
2. Grasp the Burner assembly at the two large ports as
shown in fig. 28. Lift it straight up, then tilt it back to
disengage it from the injectors and pull it out of the
firebox.
3. Remove the two Panel Retainer Brackets from the top
of the firebox. Set them aside for later reinstallation. Fig.
29.
4. Lift the Center Panel up over the rear lip of the log
retainer and set it on the shelf provided. Fig. 30.
5. Bend the tabs at each end of the retainer shelf to lock
the glass in place. Fig. 31.
6. Place the front bottom corner of the Side Pane l into
the firebox while simultaneously guiding the rear
corner onto the side of the log shelf. Rotate the panel
inward and to the side until it is flush with the wall.

Repeat on the opposite side.
7. Replace the Panel Retainers in the opposite orientation
from which they were removed. Bend the retainer if
necessary to lock the panels in place. See fig. 33.
8. Follow the procedure in Step 5, page 20 to reinstall the
burner assembly.
