What to Avoid
When choosing a location for your workstation, try to avoid the

Power source must be 110–120 volts
alternating current (VAC) or 220–240
VAC, used solely for system unit and
monitor.
Room temperature should remain
between 15°C and 32°C (59°F and
90°F).
Relative humidity should range
between 30 percent and 70 percent.
Provide a minimum of three inches of
clearance all around the workstation.
This allows air to circulate around the
workstation to prevent excess heat
buildup and to keep the system air
vents clean.
Leave enough room on your desktop
for your keyboard, mouse pad, and any
papers and materials that you may
need.

Position the system unit in a clean, dust-free
location. Dust and dirt damage system components.
Do not place your DEC 3000 Model 500/500S AXP
