CHAPTER 3: Introduction 3.2 Key Features The Rackmount ServSwitch Brand CAT5 KVM and KVM/Serial Extenders have a number of useful features which contribute to the transparent remote operation of your PCs. Some of the more important ones are: • Distance up to 50 m (160 ft.) with Micro Remotes or 300 m (985 ft.) with other types of Remotes Operate your PCs from almost anywhere in the same building.
  • Page 37 RACKMOUNT SERVSWITCH™ BRAND CAT5 KVM EXTENDER LOCAL HUBS • LEDs make status monitoring easy They show you right away whether the Local Hub is powered and whether the links from the Local Hub’s ports to the Remotes are functioning. • Dual-Access Local Hubs only: Supports local stations With the Dual-Access Local Hubs, you can operate the PC either locally or remotely (but not both at the same time).
