Fault: Engine does not start at all or is very difficult to start.

Possible cause
Emergency ON/OFF switch
activated
Side stand extended and gear
engaged
Gear engaged, clutch not
disengaged
Clutch pulled when ignition was
OFF
No fuel in tank
Battery not adequately charged
Remedy
Set the emergency ON/OFF switch to its
RUN position
Retract the side stand fully
Select neutral or pull clutch lever
Switch on the ignition, then pull the clutch
lever
Refuel
Recharge the battery
