2.3.2.3 CR Motor Driver Circuits
The CR motor driver IC SLA7043M (IC15) sends motor phase data using the serial data (XCRCLK,
XCRSTB, CRASERI, CRBSERI) and voltage reference data (CRV) from the gate array E05B34 to the
driver to control the phase current in the driver. The data output from the phase A and phase B
(CRASERI, CRBSERI) are transferred synchronizing with the clock signal (XCRCLK). Then the data is
read at the driver IC by the strobe signal (XCRSTB). This sequence enables the micro step with a
minimum of 0.026 mm pulse driven at 2W1-2 phase excitation. The hold signal (CRHLD) also drives 2
phases to place the CR to the home position and to the cartridge change position. The Figure 2-22 shows
the CR motor driver circuit block diagram.
