GENERAL POWER TOOL SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS WARNING! Read all safety warnings and all instructions. Failure to follow the warnings and instructions may result in electric shock, fire and/or serious injury. Save all warnings and instructions for future reference. The term “power tool" in all of the warnings refers to your mains-operated (corded) power tool or battery-operated (cordless) power tool.

RANDOM ORBITAL SANDER SAFETY WARNINGS • Hold power tool by insulated gripping surfaces, because the sanding pad may contact its own cord. Cutting a "live" wire may make exposed metal parts of the power tool "live" and could give the operator an electric shock. Recommendation that the tool always be supplied via a residual current device with a rated residual current of 30 mA or less.

PREPARATION & SETUP WARNING! Failure to unplug your random orbital sander could result in accidental starting causing possible serious injury. Sanding Sheet Installation Your random orbital sander is equipped with a hook and loop backing pad (6). This uses hook and loop technology, which firmly grips the sanding sheets when applied with moderate pressure.
  • Page 9 PREPARATION & SETUP (cont.) Vacuum adaptor The vacuum adaptor (5) will enable most standard vacuum cleaner hoses to be fitted to the sander for efficient dust extraction. Sandpaper Selection Selecting the correct grit of sandpaper is an important step in achieving optimum results.
  • Page 10 PREPARATION & SETUP (cont.) Precautions to Take When Sanding Paint CAUTION: A dust mask should be worn at all times. Any finish, such as paint or resin, may soften from frictional heat. This will cause the material to rapidly clog the sandpaper, rendering it useless. A heat gun will remove paint more effectively before sanding.
  • Page 11: Operation

OPERATION CAUTION: Before attempting to use your sander be sure to familiarise yourself with all its operating features and safety requirements. WARNING! The sander should always be disconnected from the power supply when assembling parts, making adjustments, cleaning or when the tool is not in use.
  • Page 12 OPERATION (cont.) Sanding Tips Never force the sander. The weight of the sander supplies adequate pressure, allowing the sandpaper to do the work. Applying additional pressure will slow the motor, rapidly wear the sandpaper, and greatly reduce the sander speed. This will slow the removal rate and produce an inferior quality surface.

Always replace both brushes at the same time. Note: Ozito Industries will not be responsible for any damage or injuries caused by the repair of the tool by an unauthorised person or by mishandling of the tool.
