QWERTY thumbpad key strokes

Each key on the thumbpad can type more than one
letter or character by using the Shift or Function key.
Shift keys
The two Shift keys are located on the outside of the
bottom row of keys beside the function keys

Function keys
To type an uppercase letter, press the Shift key,
then the desired letter key.
To use Caps lock, press the Shift key twice.
To type a symbol from the top row of number
keys, press Shift+number key (that is, hold the
Shift key while you type the number key).
Function keys
The two function keys are located on the bottom row of
keys beside the Space key.
Symbol table
To display a symbol table when you are in a text field,
press either function key twice.

To insert a character from the symbol table, press the
function key twice. Scroll to the character in the table,
then press the joystick.
Symbol keys
Shift key
To type the symbol printed on a key, press the function
key, then the desired letter key. To type the symbols
along the top row, you can also use the Shift key.
Tip
: If you are typing in a password field that displays
only stars as you type, be aware that you must press
and hold the Shift key to type the yellow character on a
number key. If you press and release the Shift key,
then press a number key you type a number.
For example, pressing Shift + 1 at the same time types
an exclamation mark (!). Pressing Shift, then 1, types
the number 1.
This is important only if you are in a password field and
can't see what you are typing.
