Engine Coolant

In countries with moderate climate
the coolant provides freeze
protection down to approx. -30°C.
In countries with extremely cold
climate the coolant provides freeze
protection down to approx. -40°C.
Maintain a sufficient concentration
of anti-freeze.
Caution
Only use approved anti-freeze.
Coolant level
Caution
Too low a coolant level can cause
engine damage.
When the engine is cool, the coolant
level should be between the MIN
and MAX mark on the coolant
reservoir. The level of coolant rises
as the engine warms and drops
back as the engine cools.
Vehicle Care
Warning
Never remove the coolant
reservoir cap when the engine
and radiator are hot. It could
cause serious injury. The engine
must be cool before opening the
cap. Carefully open the cap,
relieving the pressure slowly.
Fill up with a mixture of
demineralised water and anti-freeze
approved for the vehicle. Install the
cap tightly. Have the anti-freeze
concentration checked and have the
cause of the coolant loss remedied
by a repairer.
If the coolant level falls below
the MIN mark, refill the radiator with
56:44 mix of de-mineralised water
and correct antifreeze.
In order to protect your vehicle in
extremely cold weather, use mix of
48 percent water and 52 percent
antifreeze.
