Ultrasonic Parking Assist

Front and rear parking assist
The parking assistance system
assists the driver during forward and
backward movement of the vehicle
by alarming if any object is sensed
between the vehicle and the
obstacle.
The system registers distance using
sensors in each of the front and rear
bumpers.
This system is automatically turned
on whenever the ignition switch
is ON.
The front and rear sensors
are activated together when shifting
the gear to "R" position.
If the shifting lever is not in "R"
position, only front sensor is
activated.
If the vehicle approaches an
obstacle to the front or rear, a series
of signals sound. The interval
between the signals becomes
shorter as the distance is reduced.
The system is deactivated when the
vehicle's speed is greater than
25 km/h (15 mph).
To activate the system, press the
park assist button on the instrument
panel. The indicator button will
light up.
