Troubleshooting

NO POWER

PERIPHERY OF CHASSIS
1. Is fuse (F901) blown?
Fuse may be opened when either the LAMP
POWER
indicator or the READY indicator(with the front indi-
cators) isn't Illuminated. Check the fuse.
For continued safety, replace with a fuse of the
same type.
TYPE T8AH 250V FUSE. (LITTLE FUSE INC.
TYPE 215008)
2. Is projection of lamp cover inside broken or not fit-
ting?
Check the INTER LOCK switch(SW902) and lamp
cover.
SW902 ......................................... OPEN : abnormal
3. Is thermal switch(SW903) operating?
If temperatures periphery of lamp is reached to
100˚C, the thermal switch will be turned off automat-
ically.
SW903 ......................................... OPEN : abnormal
4. Is thermal switch(SW904) operating? (with the TEM-
PERATURE WARNING INDICATOR flashing)?
If temperatures periphery of LCD panel is reach ed
to 55˚C, the thermal switch will be turned off auto-
matically.
SW904 ......................................... OPEN : abnormal
POWER, SUB POWER, P.F.C. HIC BOARD
1. Are the LAMP POWER indicator(red) and READY
indicator(green) light? (Front indicators)
If the LAMP POWER and READY indicators do not
light, check the HOT circuit of primary side and S5V
of STANDBY power source circuits.
2. Check the AC 100/200 switching circuit is correct.
3. Check that the FAN DRIVE signal is correct.
Pin4 of K6K ................................................... L : ON
4. Check that the LAMP ON/OFF signal is correct.
Pin8 of K6E, pin5 of K6K .............................. H : ON
5. Check that the POWER FAIL signal is correct.
Pin3 of K6K .......................................... L : abnormal
6. Check that the +6V voltage is correct.
..........................................................Pin7, 8 of K6J
7. Is thermal switch(TSW601) operating?
If temperatures periphery of P.F.C. circuit is reached
to 85˚C, the thermal switch will be turned off auto-
matically.
TSW601 .................................... SHORT : abnormal
8. Check the signal at pin5 of T631. (Switching power
IC output signal)
MOTHER BOARD
1. Check that the Vcc-voltage(IC5801 +S5V) is correct.
2. Check that the POWER FAIL signal is correct.
Pin17 of K58A, pin3 of K56B ............... L : abnormal
3. Check that the LAMP MONITOR signal is correct.
Pin2 of K56C, pin16 of K58A .............. H : abnormal
4. Check that the FAN DRIVE signal is correct.
Pin27 of IC5801, pin4 of K56B ..................... H : ON
5. Check that the LAMP ON/OFF signal is correct.
Pin5 of K56B, pin14 of K58A ........................ H : ON
6. Check that the POWER ON/OFF signal is correct.
Pin26 of IC5801 ............................................ H : ON
MAIN BOARD
1. Check that the Vcc-voltage(IC801/IC809 +S5V) is
correct.
2. Check that the POWER FAIL signal is correct.
Pin125 of IC801 ................................... L : abnormal
3. Check that the TEMP. MONITOR signal is correct.
Pin24 of IC809, pin3 of K8E ................ L : abnormal
4. Check that the LAMP MONITOR signal is correct.
pin122 of IC801, pin16 of K8A ............ H : abnormal
5. Is POWER ON signal in lamp power on/off button
input at pin119 of IC801 ?
6. Is POWER ON signal in remote-control unit input at
pin143 of IC801?
7. Check that the LAMP ON/OFF signal is correct.
Pin144 of IC801, E Q1875, pin14 of K8A ..... H : ON
